Ruth Handler (1916–2002) was an American businesswoman and inventor, best known as the creator of the Barbie doll. Inspired by her daughter's play with paper dolls, she wanted to create a three-dimensional adult-like doll that would inspire girls to imagine their future roles. In 1959, she introduced Barbie through the toy company Mattel, which she founded with her husband, Elliot Handler. Barbie quickly became a cultural icon and has since inspired generations of children around the world.

Walt DisneyWalt Disney (1901–1966) was an American animator, film producer, and entrepreneur, best known as the creator of Mickey Mouse and the founder of The Walt Disney Company. Astrid LindgrenAstrid Lindgren (1907–2002) was a Swedish author known for classics such as Pippi Longstocking and Emil from Lønneberg.
